Description

We are Looking for Jr. Tour Coordinator in our Esteemed Establishment


Duties:

Proposes tours after screening travel industry publications and tour operators' promotional literature.

Plans domestic tours including lodging, food and transportation arrangements; negotiates with tour operators on domestic and international tour packages and ticketing.

Arranges pre-tour briefings; arranges for space, speakers, refreshments and audiovisual equipment.

Periodically travels to assist during tour with seat assignments, luggage and various other problems.

Conducts post-tour evaluations, analyses and reports response.

Prices tours and determine the cost to the university and the revenue generated by the tours.

Tracks and notifies travelers of payment received and balance due including membership dues.

Promotes program and generates publicity by means of an on-campus travel fair providing information and drafting press releases.

Designs brochures and invitations.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of geography and travel industry.

Skill in bargaining to purchase best travel package at economical price.

Skill in public relations and handling complaints.

Skill in organization in order to coordinate several events simultaneously.

Skill in both verbal and written communication.
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field AND one year experience in travel or hotel industry; OR, Five years experience in travel or hotel industry; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
