Job Description

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Purchasing Executive to manage procurement activities for our construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing suppliers, negotiating prices, processing purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery of materials and equipment required for project operations.

Key Responsibilities

Handle day-to-day purchasing and procurement activities for construction projects.

Source and identify reliable suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors.

Request and compare quotations to obtain competitive prices and quality materials.

Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.

Prepare and process purchase orders (POs) and purchase requisitions.

Coordinate with project managers, engineers, site teams, and warehouse personnel regarding material requirements.

Monitor orders and ensure timely delivery of construction materials and equipment.

Maintain updated supplier databases, purchasing records, and procurement documentation.

Verify invoices, delivery notes, and purchase orders.

Ensure all purchases comply with company policies, project specifications, and approved budgets.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.

Previous experience as a Purchasing Executive, Procurement Officer, or Purchasing Officer in the construction industry.

Good knowledge of construction materials, tools, equipment, and building supplies.

Strong negotiation, communication, and supplier management skills.

Knowledge of procurement procedures, purchase orders, and inventory coordination.

Proficiency in MS Office and procurement systems.

Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.

Must be currently available in Bahrain.
