Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Construction Procurement Officer to manage purchasing activities and procurement operations for construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing suppliers, negotiating prices, preparing purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery of construction materials, equipment, and services while maintaining cost efficiency and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Manage procurement and purchasing activities for construction projects.

Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive prices.

Request and compare quotations from multiple vendors.

Prepare and process purchase orders (POs) based on approved material requisitions.

Coordinate with project managers, engineers, site supervisors, and storekeepers to identify material requirements.

Ensure timely delivery of construction materials, tools, equipment, and other required supplies.

Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, and product quality.

Maintain updated supplier databases, purchase records, and procurement documentation.

Follow up on pending orders, invoices, and material deliveries.

Ensure all purchases comply with company policies, project specifications, and approved budgets.

Requirements & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Previous experience as a Procurement Officer, Purchasing Officer, or Procurement Coordinator in the construction industry.

Good knowledge of construction materials, equipment, tools, and building supplies.

Experience in supplier sourcing, price negotiation, and purchase order management.

Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.

Proficiency in MS Office and procurement or ERP systems.

Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.

Must be currently available in Bahrain.
