Job Description

We are looking for a qualified and experienced HSE Officer to join our construction team in Bahrain. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and monitoring health, safety, and environmental procedures across construction sites to ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and safety regulations at construction sites.

Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments.

Identify potential workplace hazards and recommend corrective and preventive measures.

Ensure workers follow safety procedures, wear appropriate PPE, and comply with site safety requirements.

Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness training for site personnel.

Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and prepare detailed reports.

Monitor permits to work (PTW), method statements, and job safety analysis (JSA).

Ensure proper housekeeping and safe working conditions across the site.

Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and supervisors on all HSE matters.

Maintain HSE documentation, inspection records, and incident reports.

Requirements & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum 3 years of relevant HSE experience in the construction industry.

Good knowledge of construction safety standards, risk assessments, and hazard control.

Familiarity with Bahrain safety regulations and international HSE standards.

Relevant HSE certification such as NEBOSH IGC or IOSH is preferred.

Strong communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and conduct site safety inspections.

Previous construction site experience is required.
