Urgently required General Manager to join a leading Civil and Mechanical Construction company in Bahrain.
The ideal candidate must be ambitious, competent & have the desire to progress to the top in their career – the next business leader. Key Requirements

• BSc/MSc Civil/Mechanical Engineer (technically astute Grade "A" engineer)
• 10+ years in the same or similar role in the GCC, with a proven track record
• Experience in Roads & Infrastructure projects or Industrial Projects
• 10+ years of tendering experience (business contacts in Bahrain for be advantageous)
• Operational experience (essential)
• Expert knowledge across Infrastructure & Roads, sewerage systems
• Worked for a reputable competitor across the GCC region (essential) Administration
• Responsible for the management of the Division's overall business.
• Prepares the annual Budgets for the management & compliance with the budget.
• Appropriately plan for all the divisional and project expenditures.
• Ensures that the division has the required manpower with the proper skill sets and technical abilities to administer responsibilities.
• Coordinating and cooperating with other divisions of the company in matters of mutual official interests.
• To ensure timely preparation of Bill of Quantities and manual invoices of each job, for the accounts department to make official invoices for submission to the concerned parties. Tendering & Estimations
• Monitors the tendering and estimation process.
• Ensures that all project costs are covered in the Bill of Quantities.
• Ensures that the cost assumptions in the tenders are realistic and achievable. Sales
• To maintain the sound reputation of the organization in the market as being one of the leading asphalt companies in Bahrain.
• Responsible for the consolidation and enlarging of the sales market of the asphalt & surfacing division.
• Represent the company at meetings with clients and consultants when required.
• Carry out contract reviews and give written/verbal quotations for all & Surfacing jobs related to all governmental departments as well as individuals / private organizations. Billing
• Monitors the valuation and billing cycle, ensuring that all billing complies with company policy.
• Monitors the Work-in-Progress (WIP) account of the division and ensures that the WIP balance is as per company policy.
• Monitors Cash Flows & Profitability monthly.
• The division manager must ensure that payment is collected as per agreed payment terms.
• Responsible for maintenance of the operational cash flows of the division.
• Monitors the profitability of the projects on a weekly basis.
• Ensures that project costs are recovered and controlled. Compliance
• Ensuring observance of high safety & security standards in the asphalt factory and sites.
• The employee shall be responsible for following procedures in relation to ISO certification and ensuring an effective implementation and maintenance of the quality systems, health, safety, and environment systems.
• Compliance with any relevant specifications, mix-design, quality control, workshop techniques, transportation and delivery, site visits, forecast of raw material requirements, for Composites and thermoplastic production, and spare parts of the plants and equipment.
• Attend the training requirements of the division.
• Any other functions as decided/communicated by the Directors.

Working hours shall be as required to carry out his full responsibilities and duties.
