📢 WE ARE HIRING! IMPORT SUPERVISOR

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Import Supervisor to oversee import operations, international supplier coordination, shipment tracking, customs clearance, costing, and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate with management to finalize import orders and place purchase orders with overseas suppliers.

Monitor purchase orders and shipments, ensuring timely delivery of goods.

Prepare and verify import documentation, including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.

Coordinate with customs, clearing agents, freight forwarders, and suppliers to ensure smooth customs clearance and delivery.

Ensure compliance with import regulations, customs requirements, and food safety standards, particularly for perishable goods.

Prepare costing sheets upon arrival of goods and maintain accurate records of purchases, invoices, and transactions.

Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, logistics, sales, and finance teams to ensure efficient operations.

Monitor inventory levels, prevent stock shortages and overstocking, and arrange timely internal stock transfers across branches.

Manage transportation arrangements, negotiate freight rates, and ensure the availability of packing materials.

Create and maintain item masters, price lists, and rate contracts in the ERP system.

Prepare import, inventory, costing, and sales reports for management.

Identify opportunities to improve import procedures, reduce operational costs, and minimize supply chain risks.

Follow up on customer orders, payments, and feedback where applicable.


Qualifications and Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

Proven experience in import operations, international procurement, logistics, or supply chain management.

Knowledge of customs clearance, international shipping, import documentation, and inventory control.

Experience in costing, supplier negotiations, and ERP systems.

Experience handling food products or perishable goods is an advantage.

Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to coordinate multiple activities, supervise operations, and meet deadlines.
