Job Description

We are looking for an experienced MEP Construction Engineer to oversee and manage MEP works for high-rise buildings, large villa projects, and other large-scale construction projects. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge of MEP systems and hands-on construction experience in Bahrain.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements

• Proven experience in managing MEP aspects of high-rise buildings and large villa projects.

• In-depth knowledge of MEP systems design, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance best practices.

• Lead the design, planning, coordination, and execution of MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection, for large-scale commercial and residential construction projects.

• Manage and mentor a team of MEP engineers, supervisors, and technicians, ensuring high performance and professional development.

• Develop and review detailed MEP designs, specifications, technical requirements, and cost estimates while ensuring compliance with project requirements and applicable codes.

• Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems, ensuring adherence to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.

• Conduct regular site inspections, identify technical or construction-related issues, and implement effective solutions during the construction phase.

• Coordinate closely with architects, structural engineers, civil engineers, project managers, consultants, and clients to ensure smooth and integrated project delivery.

• Manage and coordinate MEP subcontractors, ensuring timely execution, quality workmanship, and compliance with project requirements.

• Review and coordinate shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, technical submissions, and RFIs/technical queries.

• Monitor MEP construction progress and ensure works are completed according to approved schedules and project milestones.

• Ensure all MEP works comply with Bahraini building codes, safety standards, authority requirements, and environmental regulations.

• Prepare regular MEP progress reports, coordinate project requirements, and assist in effectively managing MEP project budgets and schedules.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, MEP Engineering, or a related field.

• Strong experience in MEP construction projects, preferably high-rise buildings, large villas, commercial buildings, or major residential developments.

• Strong knowledge of construction coordination, MEP drawings, site execution, testing, and commissioning.

• Bahrain construction experience is highly preferred.

• Strong communication, coordination, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

• Immediate joiners preferred.

• Candidates must be currently available in Bahrain.
