Key Responsibilities

Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with company policies and applicable accounting standards.
Monitor project costs, manufacturing costs, and profitability by coordinating with the Production, Procurement, and Project Management teams.
Maintain the general ledger and perform monthly account reconciliations.
Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and cash flow management.
Prepare budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analyses for management review.
Monitor inventory valuation, material consumption, and work-in-progress (WIP) related to furniture manufacturing and joinery projects.
Ensure timely processing of payroll-related accounting entries and employee reimbursements.
Prepare and submit VAT returns and ensure compliance with Bahrain tax regulations.
Coordinate with external auditors, banks, and government authorities during audits and financial reviews.
Review supplier and subcontractor payments, ensuring compliance with contractual terms.
Develop and improve internal financial controls and accounting procedures.
Prepare financial reports and management dashboards to support strategic decision-making.
Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff to ensure efficient departmental operations.
Perform other finance and accounting duties as assigned by management.


Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, or CA is preferred.
Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior accounting role.
Experience in furniture manufacturing, joinery, construction, interior fit-out, or project-based industries is highly preferred.
Knowledge of Bahrain VAT regulations and financial reporting requirements.


Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and reporting.
Experience with ERP/accounting software (e.g., Tally, PeachTree, Microsoft Dynamics AX or similar).
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
Experience in project costing, inventory accounting, and manufacturing cost analysis.
Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Ability to prepare management reports and cash flow projections.
