Description

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and enforce HSE policies, procedures, and safe work practices on civil construction sites
Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments for activities such as excavation, concreting, formwork, and lifting operations
Identify hazards and ensure immediate corrective and preventive actions are implemented
Monitor compliance with permit-to-work systems and ensure proper use of PPE at all times
Lead incident and accident investigations, prepare reports, and follow up on corrective measures
Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and training sessions for workers and subcontractors
Review and support preparation of method statements, risk assessments, and lifting plans
Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and contractors to maintain a safe working environment
Ensure safety compliance for heavy equipment, scaffolding, and temporary structures
Maintain accurate HSE records, reports, and safety performance data
Participate in safety meetings and support continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications & Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in HSE roles within civil construction projects
NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA certification (required or preferred)
Strong knowledge of civil construction safety practices and regulations
Experience in high-rise, infrastructure, or villa projects is an advantage
Good understanding of risk assessments, permit systems, and incident investigation
Strong leadership, communication, and reporting skills
Ability to enforce safety compliance and promote a strong safety culture on site
Ability to work in a fast-paced, site-based environment
