Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Safety Inspector – Construction to monitor and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards across construction sites. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting safety inspections, identifying potential hazards, and ensuring that all site activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct regular safety inspections and audits at construction sites.

Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective and preventive actions.

Ensure workers comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Monitor the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Ensure safe working practices during excavation, scaffolding, lifting, electrical, and work-at-height activities.

Conduct toolbox talks and safety awareness sessions for workers.

Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and prepare reports.

Maintain safety inspection records, checklists, and HSE documentation.

Monitor compliance with approved method statements and risk assessments.

Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and the HSE team to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.

Previous experience as a Safety Inspector, Safety Officer, or HSE Inspector in the construction industry.

Good knowledge of construction safety standards, HSE procedures, and risk assessments.

Knowledge of PPE requirements, site safety inspections, and accident reporting.

Relevant HSE certifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH will be an advantage.

Good communication and reporting skills.

Ability to work independently and monitor multiple site activities.

Additional Requirements

Immediate joiner preferred.

Must be currently available in Bahrain.

Previous construction site experience is required.
