Job Description

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Site Safety Officer to join our construction team in Bahrain. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and monitoring health, safety, and environmental procedures at construction sites to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and unsafe practices.

Implement and monitor health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.

Ensure all workers comply with safety regulations, site rules, and PPE requirements.

Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness training for site personnel.

Monitor construction activities and ensure safe working practices are followed.

Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and prepare reports.

Maintain safety records, inspection checklists, and incident documentation.

Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and project management on safety matters.

Ensure proper implementation of risk assessments and method statements.

Monitor permits to work and ensure compliance with site safety requirements.

Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field.

Relevant HSE certification such as NEBOSH or IOSH is preferred.

Previous experience as a Site Safety Officer in the construction industry.

Good knowledge of construction safety standards, risk assessments, and HSE procedures.

Ability to identify hazards and implement effective corrective actions.

Good communication, reporting, and coordination skills.

Must be currently available in Bahrain.
