Description

● Assign deliveries to couriers based on schedules and route plans, ensuring efficient and timely service.
● Monitor and track delivery status, proactively addressing any issues or delays that may arise.
● Supervise riders/drivers to ensure adherence to safety best practices during the handling and transportation of shipments.
● Receive and respond to emergency and non-emergency calls, assessing situations, prioritising calls, and providing appropriate instructions or assistance.
● Coordinate schedules and routes in the most effective manner, optimising efficiency and minimising delays.
● Inform field units about new orders, changes, or any relevant information, including traffic updates.
● Maintain accurate and up-to-date call logs and data using the MyDP Portal or relevant tracking systems.
● Provide reports and updates to upper management on performance, operational metrics, and any notable incidents.
● Collaborate with other departments, such as customer service and logistics, to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
● Continuously monitor and improve operational processes to enhance efficiency and meet service level targets.
VIII. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent; additional relevant certifications or training is a plus.
● Proven experience in a dispatching or similar operational role, preferably in the logistics or transportation industry.
● Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to handle a high volume of calls and tasks simultaneously.
● Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
● Proficiency in using dispatching software, tracking systems, and other relevant tools.
● Sound decision-making abilities, with the capacity to assess situations and prioritise calls effectively.
● Familiarity with geographical areas and routes to optimise delivery plans.
● Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations and effectively manage emergencies.
● Strong attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records and documentation.
● Flexibility in working hours, as dispatching may require shift work or be on-call based.

● Maintain Average UTR to couriers at 1.5 per hour.
● Control Courier Fleet in ensuring they are responsive to the dynamics in the work volume.
● Ensuring Last Mile end of cycle to shipments are recorded and completed
● Weekly & Monthly Report to Management
● MyDP System Dashboard Control
● Pick up on time is a very high vital operational element
● Weekly & Monthly Targets of OFD Volumes
● Planning & Strategies to be set to High & low seasons
