Construction Helper Worker Job Description**

**Role Overview**
Construction Helper Workers provide essential support on construction sites by assisting skilled tradespeople (e.g., Welders, Fabricators, carpenters, electricians, plumbers) and performing labor-intensive tasks to ensure projects progress efficiently. This entry-level role is critical for site preparation, material handling, and maintaining safety standards .

**Key Responsibilities**
1. **Site Preparation & Cleanup**:
- Clear debris, hazards, and rubble from construction sites.
- Erect/dismantle temporary structures (e.g., scaffolding, barricades) .

2. **Material Handling**:
- Load/unload tools, equipment, and materials (e.g., lumber, concrete, steel, aluminium).
- Transport materials using wheelbarrows, forklifts, or manually .

3. **Assisting Tradespeople**:
- Support weldes, carpenters, masons, or electricians with measurements, tool passing, or holding materials.
- Mix/pour concrete, install pipes, or assist with roofing/drywall .

4. **Equipment Operation**:
- Operate basic tools (e.g., drills, saws) and machinery (e.g., compactors, jackhammers) under supervision .

5. **Safety Compliance**:
- Follow the guidelines, wear PPE (hard hats, gloves), and follow supervisor instructions .

**Requirements & Skills**
- **Physical Fitness**: Ability to lift heavy materials, stand for long hours, and work in extreme weather .
- **Teamwork**: Collaborate effectively with crews and follow instructions .
