Job Title: Baker – Croissant Production Specialist

Location: Hamala, Kingdom of Bahrain
Department: Bakery Production
Reports to: Head Baker / Production Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Baker specializing in croissant production to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in preparing high-quality croissants and laminated dough products, ensuring consistency, flavor, and presentation. This role requires precision, creativity, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of bakery production.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Croissant Production:

Prepare and bake croissants, including classic and specialty varieties, ensuring high standards of taste, texture, and appearance.
Handle the entire lamination process, including dough preparation, rolling, folding, and proofing to achieve perfect layers.
Develop and experiment with new croissant flavors and fillings based on market trends or customer requests.

2. Dough Preparation and Baking:

Mix and prepare dough for croissants, ensuring accurate measurements and consistency.
Operate baking equipment such as mixers, sheeters, proofers, and ovens effectively and safely.
Monitor baking times and temperatures to ensure products are perfectly baked.

3. Team Collaboration:

Work closely with other bakers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely production.
Train and mentor junior team members or assistants in croissant-making techniques.

Requirements:

Experience:
At least 3-5 years of experience in baking, with a focus on croissant production and laminated dough products.

Skills:
Expert knowledge of croissant lamination and baking techniques.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency in production.
Creativity in developing new croissant varieties and flavors.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-production environment.

Knowledge:
Familiarity with baking equipment and their proper use.
Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy bags of flour or other ingredients.
Comfortable working in a high-temperature environment.


Working Conditions:

Early morning or flexible shift hours depending on production requirements.
Collaborative work environment with a focus on producing high-quality baked goods.
