Job Title: Outdoor Salesman – Baked Goods

Location: Hamala, Kingdom of Bahrain
Department: Sales
Reports to: Sales Manager
Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Outdoor Salesman to represent our baked goods brand. The primary responsibility is to visit retail outlets, grocery stores, and markets, take orders, ensure shelves are well-stocked and organized, and maintain strong relationships with store managers. This role requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales and Order Management:

Visit assigned retail locations daily to take orders for baked goods and ensure timely fulfillment.
Build and maintain strong relationships with store managers and staff to secure shelf space and promote our products.
Negotiate orders and promotions with store managers to maximize sales opportunities.
Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets as set by the Sales Manager.

2. Merchandising and Stock Management:

Ensure shelves are fully stocked, organized, and attractively displayed.
Rotate stock to ensure freshness and remove expired products from shelves.
Place promotional materials and signage to enhance product visibility.
Monitor stock levels in stores and coordinate with the warehouse for replenishments.

3. Market and Competitor Analysis:

Monitor and report on competitor activities, including pricing, promotions, and shelf presence.
Gather feedback from retailers and customers to identify potential areas for improvement or new opportunities.

4. Reporting and Communication:

Submit daily sales reports, order details, and market insights to the Sales Manager.
Communicate any issues or challenges faced in the market, such as stock shortages or customer complaints, and propose solutions.

5. Customer Service:

Address customer inquiries and concerns in a professional manner to ensure satisfaction.
Act as a brand ambassador, promoting the quality and benefits of our baked goods to retailers and consumers.

Requirements:

Experience:
Proven experience in sales, preferably in FMCG or baked goods distribution.
Prior experience in outdoor sales is an advantage.

Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships.
Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities.
Basic knowledge of inventory management and merchandising principles.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Physical Requirements:
Physically fit to carry and arrange stock as required.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced outdoor environment.

Knowledge:
Familiarity with the local market and retail network.
Basic understanding of sales reporting tools.

Availability:
Flexible to work early mornings or weekends as required.

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.

License:
A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.

Compensation:

Salary: Competitive base salary with performance-based incentives.
