Job Summary

The Housekeeping Staff member is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation throughout the hospital premises. The role ensures a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients, visitors, doctors, and hospital staff.

Key Responsibilities
Clean and sanitize patient rooms, corridors, waiting areas, offices, washrooms, and common areas.
Dispose of medical and general waste according to hospital safety procedures.
Refill supplies such as soap, tissues, sanitizers, and cleaning materials.
Mop floors, dust furniture, clean windows, and maintain overall hygiene standards.
Follow infection control and safety guidelines at all times.
Report maintenance issues or damaged equipment to supervisors.
Support emergency cleaning requirements when needed.
Ensure proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while working in patient areas.
Requirements
Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred.
Basic understanding of hygiene and sanitation standards.
Ability to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays if required.
Physically fit and able to perform cleaning duties for long hours.
Good teamwork and communication skills.
High school education or equivalent is an advantage.
