JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are hiring experienced Industrial Electricians for a process plant based in Bahrain. This is an excellent opportunity for technically strong candidates with solid industrial or oil & gas background who are ready to take on a challenging and rewarding role in a structured plant environment.

Position Summary:
The Industrial Electrician will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical installations within a process plant. The role involves shift-based work and requires a sound understanding of industrial power distribution systems, electrical equipment, and safe working practices in compliance with plant procedures.

Principal Accountabilities: Operations & Maintenance:

- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical installations in a process plant environment
- Maintain and service starters, breakers, motors, drives, and power distribution systems
- Install mineral insulated cables using correct glanding and installation techniques
- Install lighting fixtures including emergency luminaries and HPMV/Metal Halide fittings
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, symbols, and nomenclature accurately

Testing & Safety:

Conduct electrical testing using: Megger, Earth Tester, Earth Continuity Tester, Earth Loop Tester, Polarity Tester, and DC Injection Test Set
Ensure equipment is correctly and safely isolated before commencement of any work
Follow all Permit to Work (PTW) and Hot Work Permit procedures strictly
Apply correct use of PPE (hard hat, goggles, gloves, safety shoes) at all times
Demonstrate working knowledge of hazardous area classification and relevant equipment

Compliance & Conduct:

Adhere to all security regulations, smoking regulations, and emergency action procedures
Ensure non-interference with operating equipment during maintenance activities
Accept and carry out instructions in English or Arabic as required
Maintain physical fitness and health standards required for plant work

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

Gender: Male
Nationality: Open to all nationalities
Education: ITI or Diploma in Electrical Engineering
Experience: Minimum 5 years in industrial electrical work
Oil & Gas / Refinery / Process Plant experience is a strong advantage
Candidates with strong industrial/project experience and good technical knowledge will also be considered
Sound knowledge of different voltage systems used in industrial power distribution
Familiar with hazardous area equipment and safe working standards
Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and technical documents
Physically fit and capable of undertaking relevant plant work
