*** Position Overview ***
This is a full-time on-site role for Cashier cum Retail Assistant, located in Manama. The candidate will be responsible for processing customer transactions, handling cash and credit card payments, and providing excellent customer service. This role involves assisting customers with inquiries, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.



*** Key Responsibilities ***

1. Customer Interaction
• Greet customers and provide a friendly, helpful service.
• Address customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and provide information on products and services.
• Assist customers with locating products and making purchasing decisions.

2. Transaction Processing
• Accurately process cash, credit, and debit card transactions.
• Ensure pricing is correct, and handle exchanges and returns.
• Balance the cash register at the beginning and end of each day.
• Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers.

3. Merchandise Handling
• Bag or box the merchandise ensuring it is properly packed for transport.
• Restock items and maintain displays to ensure they are visually appealing and well-organized.
• Monitor inventory levels and report discrepancies to the management.

4. Work Area Maintenance
• Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and free of clutter.
• Follow all company policies and procedures to ensure a safe and secure work environment.
• Adhere to health and safety standards, including the proper use of equipment.


*** Qualifications and Requirements ***
• College degree or equivalent or at least 7 years experience.
• Previous experience in a retail or customer service role preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Professional fluency in English
• Basic math skills and the ability to handle transactions accurately.
• Effective Communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and other computer applications.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations with composure.
