About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Freight Supervisor to oversee daily freight operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective movement of goods. This role is critical in maintaining smooth logistics processes, coordinating with carriers, and leading a team to achieve operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise and coordinate freight operations, including inbound and outbound shipments.
• Manage scheduling, routing, and tracking of deliveries to ensure efficiency.
• Oversee a team of freight associates, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
• Collaborate with vendors, carriers, and internal departments to resolve shipping issues.
• Monitor freight costs and identify opportunities for savings.
• Prepare reports on freight performance, costs, and operational metrics.
Qualifications
• Secondary or Bachelor’s Degree holder preferred.
• Proven minimum 2-3 years of experience in logistics, freight management, or supply chain operations.
• Valid Bahrain driving license
• Can communicate English, Arabic & Hindi
• Proficiency in freight management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
