Key responsibilities include picking, sorting, and packing goods, operating packing equipment, managing inventory records, and maintaining a safe, clean work area.
Key Packing Job Responsibilities:
Order Fulfillment: Review packing lists, pick, and sort items from warehouse storage for shipment.
Packaging & Assembly: Pack items securely using appropriate materials (boxes, bubble wrap, tape) to prevent damage, often assembling kits or stacking goods on pallets.
Quality Control: Inspect products for damage or defects, removing faulty items before packing.
Labeling & Documentation: Weigh, seal, and label packages with accurate shipping information; maintain detailed records of packed items.
Safety & Maintenance: Adhere to all warehouse safety guidelines, operate machinery (e.g., scanners, pallet jacks) safely, and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
Material Handling: Load and unload items from trucks or conveyor belts.
