Job Summary

The Project Engineer supports the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects. This role works closely with the Project Manager, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Project Manager in day-to-day project operations

Review and manage project drawings, specifications, and submittals

Prepare and track RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and change orders

Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and consultants

Monitor project schedules and update progress reports

Support cost control, quantity take-offs, and budget tracking

Ensure compliance with project quality standards and safety regulations

Attend site meetings, inspections, and coordination meetings

Maintain accurate project documentation and records

Assist with project closeout activities including as-built drawings and O&M manuals

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field

2–5 years of experience in construction projects (buildings / infrastructure)

Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations

Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and project management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project, Procore)

Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Skills

Experience with contract administration (FIDIC / local standards)

Familiarity with quantity surveying and cost estimation

Strong coordination and document control skills

On-site construction experience
