The Aluminium Factory Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the aluminium manufacturing facility, ensuring production efficiency, product quality, safety compliance, workforce supervision, and optimal use of resources. The role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge of aluminium fabrication processes, and the ability to implement continuous improvement strategies.
Key Responsibilities
1. Production & Operations Management
Oversee all aluminium fabrication activities including cutting, bending, welding, assembly, powder coating, and installation preparation.
Develop daily, weekly, and monthly production plans to meet delivery schedules.
Monitor production output and ensure adherence to quality and performance standards.
Ensure machines, tools, and equipment are properly maintained and scheduled for servicing.
2. Quality Control
Implement and maintain quality control procedures for all aluminium products.
Conduct routine inspections to ensure all products meet company standards and client specifications.
Address and resolve quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions.
3. Workforce Supervision
Lead, supervise, train, and evaluate factory staff, including technicians, fabricators, and helpers.
Set performance goals and ensure staff adhere to work procedures and safety guidelines.
Manage shift schedules, attendance, and resolve disciplinary matters when needed.
4. Health, Safety & Compliance
Ensure factory operations comply with occupational health and safety regulations.
Conduct safety meetings, toolbox talks, and regular inspections.
Maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment.
5. Inventory & Material Management
Monitor stock levels of raw materials (aluminium profiles, glass, hardware, paint, accessories).
Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of materials.
Reduce waste and optimize material usage.
6. Cost Control & Reporting
Control operational costs, reduce downtime, and improve overall productivity.
Prepare production reports, performance evaluations, and maintenance logs.
Provide management with recommendations for improvements or efficiency upgrades.
7. Client & Project Coordination
Work closely with the sales and project teams to understand project requirements.
Provide technical support on aluminium system designs and fabrication feasibility.
Ensure orders are completed and delivered according to customer specifications.
Skills & Qualifications Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field (preferred).
Minimum 5–10 years of experience in aluminium fabrication, manufacturing, or factory operations.
Proven experience in supervising a team in a factory environment.
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of aluminium systems (doors, windows, curtain walls, kitchens, partitions, handrails, etc.).
Familiarity with fabrication machinery (CNC, cutting machines, crimping machines, punching machines).
Understanding of production workflows and quality control processes.
Management Skills
Strong leadership and team-management abilities.
