Description

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team at a fast-growing Chemical Trading Company. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience using Tally accounting software and a solid understanding of financial accounting principles in a trading environment.

As an Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining financial records, processing transactions, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with statutory regulations. You will work closely with the finance team to ensure the smooth financial operations of the company.

Key Responsibilities:
Maintain Financial Records: Accurately record daily transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments using Tally.

Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, manage payments, and ensure timely collections.

Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements with accounting records.

GST & Taxation: Ensure timely filing of GST returns, and other relevant tax filings as per applicable laws.

Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.

Inventory Management: Track and report chemical inventory transactions in line with accounting standards.

Audits & Compliance: Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Cost Analysis: Monitor and report on the costs involved in the trading process.

Qualifications & Requirements:
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a trading environment.

Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Tally ERP accounting software.

Knowledge of Taxation: Familiarity with GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance requirements.

Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Time Management: Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills:
Previous experience in a chemical trading or manufacturing company.

Understanding of inventory management and cost control in the chemical industry.

Ability to handle multi-currency transactions.
