Description

We are looking for a production manager for a reputed company in Bahrain. Please read the description.

Production Main Duties:

• Responsible for all production/manufacturing activities and personnel.
• Controls of absenteeism, sickness, and holidays along with HR.
• Takes part in employee selection for employment, promotion, and redundancy.
• Optimizes machine utilization.
• Reduces tool changeover times using standard work principles.
• Ensures documentation is adhered to and along with QC provides statistical reports as required.
• Provides support for ISO 9001,45001, 14001 and FSSC
• Plays a leading role in the EHS programs.
• Hands-on role along with supervisors in the training of new staff.
• Ensures that all production supervisors have the relevant information to carry out their duties to achieve production targets.
• Liaises with shift supervisors to ensure that they are kept fully informed of any changes thus ensuring all shifts have the correct information.
• Assists in maintaining discipline and where necessary issue verbal and with the help of the HR dept. written warnings as defined in the Policy Manual.
• Hold regular supervisors’ meetings to discuss issues and exchange relevant information.
• Advise on production personnel training needs.
• Ensure that good housekeeping standards are maintained throughout the factory and that all employees wear the specified PP equipment and work safely as defined in Gulf Closures' various safety policies.
• Since production operates continuously, it will be necessary to work additional hours to ensure the department runs smoothly and efficiently.
• Prepare and send monthly the PSY data to the US.
• Carry out any other reasonable duties, as and when necessary, to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the plant.

Maintenance main duties:

• In conjunction with the Operations Manager and in his absence the Site Director ensures that the Engineering department functions correctly to allow all the manufacturing departments to make maximum use of all plant and equipment and that the management is notified of any major problems affecting the equipment.
• Work with the Maintenance supervisor to ensure that electrical maintenance is carried out at the same time as mechanical maintenance to cause minimum disruption to production. All maintenance jobs are completed in the correct order of priority and report any deviation.
• Liaise with other shift supervisors to ensure that they are kept fully informed of any changes thus ensuring all shifts have the correct information.
• Produce reports on equipment faults, breakdowns, and repairs and analyze the findings to enable improvements to be made.
• Continually monitor all employees and ensure they perform their duties to the required standard.
• Keep fully aware of Engineering regulations and lias with machinery suppliers on changes and improvements.
• Because production operates continuously, it will be necessary to work additional hours to ensure the dept runs smoothly and efficiently.
• Ensure that all of the departmental procedures are followed.
• Ensure that procedures and equipment parameters are adhered too reporting any deviation.

• REQUIREMENTS:

• A minimum of 5 years of related work experience.
• The ability to lead a team toward operational objectives with an attitude to contribute to strategic goal-setting for the department/business unit (Required).
• A Six Sigma Green/Black Belt or ASQ CQE certification (Preferred).
• Experience and understanding of de-coupled injection molding and structured process development (Required).
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with little to no supervision while supporting the Design Engineering and Manufacturing business units (Required).
• Must be capable of supporting validation definition, method definition, root cause analysis, gage R&R, and measurement systems analysis
o (Required).
• Experience and understanding of the design for plastics injection-mold fabrication processes (Preferred).
• Experience and understanding of the development and design of plastic parts, insert molded parts, and assemblies (Preferred).
• The ability to conduct design review(s) of hot/cold runner injection molds (Preferred)
• High level of initiative and flexibility in adapting to the changing needs of a dynamic work.
• Proficiency with SAP System or other ERB Systems, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
