Job Description:

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing an array of duties such as receiving and processing incoming stock, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, managing, organizing, and retrieving stock in the warehouse.

Responsibilities:

Receiving and Unloading: Receive, unload, and check incoming stock against purchase orders or invoices. Inspect and verify the condition of items, report discrepancies, and record damages.

Order Picking and Packing: Accurately pick and pack items based on customer orders and ensure they are prepared for shipping. Utilize packing materials to secure products and minimize damage during transit.

Stock Organization: Organize stock within the warehouse, maintain inventory levels, and rotate stock to ensure first-in, first-out (FIFO) principles are followed. Keep the warehouse clean and well-organized.

Inventory Control: Conduct regular cycle counts and participate in periodic physical inventory checks. Update inventory records using computerized systems and report any discrepancies.

Shipping: Prepare shipping documents, affix shipping labels, and load items onto delivery vehicles. Coordinate with shipping carriers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.

Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, follow safety guidelines and report any equipment malfunctions.

Quality Control: Inspect products for defects and damages before shipping. Report any quality issues and participate in quality control initiatives.

Communication: Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure a smooth flow of goods through the warehouse. Report any issues or concerns promptly.

Adherence to Policies: Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety standards. Follow all relevant local, state, and federal regulations regarding warehouse operations.

Qualifications:

Intermediate Diploma/Certificate
Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Physical stamina to lift and move heavy items.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory management.
