If you have a minimum of 5 years of drafting experience in the joinery industry and a passion for precision and creativity, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with project managers, designers, and production team members to understand project requirements and provide technical support during the design phase.
2. Prepare detailed joinery drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and assembly drawings using CAD software or other relevant tools.
3. Ensure all drawings are accurate, conform to specifications, and comply with relevant building codes and industry standards.
4. Make revisions to drawings as necessary and maintain accurate documentation of changes throughout the design process.
5. Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain necessary information and incorporate it into the drawings.
6. Review shop drawings and assist in resolving any discrepancies or design issues that may arise during production.
7. Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in joinery drafting.
Requirements:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a draftsman, preferably within the joinery industry.
2. Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) and other drafting tools.
3. In-depth knowledge of joinery construction techniques, materials, and manufacturing processes.
4. Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and precise drawings.
5. Familiarity with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
6. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
7. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet design deadlines.
8. A diploma or degree in architecture, engineering, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
