Position: Home Therapist for an Autistic Teenage Boy

Type: Part-time, 10-15 hours per week

About Us:

We are a caring and dedicated family seeking a compassionate and experienced Male Home Therapist to provide specialized support for our 15-year-old son, who has autism and other comorbidities.

Responsibilities:

As a Home Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping our son build essential life skills and promote his overall development. Your responsibilities will include:

- Implementing individualized therapy sessions based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles.

- Working closely with our son’s team of Behavior Analysts

- Managing problem behavior

- Tracking and analyzing progress with his team of Behavior Analyst

- Providing feedback and updates to parents on a regular basis.

- Creating a structured and supportive environment that encourages positive behavior and growth.

Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

- A strong background in Special Education, ABA, or a related field (RBT or IBT is preferred)

- Previous experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum, particularly teenagers.

-Eagerness to learn and work together as a team.

- Patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with our son.

- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with our family and therapy team.

- Flexibility in adapting to individual needs and adjusting strategies as required.

- Reliable transportation to our home for scheduled therapy sessions.
