Description

The CDP is responsible for assisting the Head Chef in the preparation and cooking of food within the kitchen. This will involve following recipes, preparing and presenting dishes, managing stocks and supplies, cleaning the kitchen and monitoring waste. This position requires an individual with excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities:
Assisting Head Chef in all food preparation for cooking meals as per recipe instructions
Setting up/restocking workstations with necessary mise en place required for service
Properly using equipment to prepare dish
Ensuring food quality standards are met
Keeping kitchen space clean; washing dishes, emptying trash cans, wiping countertops
Checking stock levels of key ingredients and alerting Head Chef when supplies run out
Properly Labeling items stored in refrigerator/freezers
Abiding by sanitation regulations while operating kitchen equipment or preparing foods
Monitoring food waste to reduce cost
Requirements:
A minimum of 1 year of commis chef or culinary assistance experience in a professional kitchen or culinary school

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: BD180.000 - BD250.000 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

Manama: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Shift availability:

Night Shift (Preferred)
Day Shift (Preferred)
