Al Ghalia is seeking a passionate and skilled Commis Chef (Dim Sum) to join our culinary team! If you have a solid foundation in traditional Dim Sum preparation and a dedication to maintaining high standards of quality and kitchen hygiene, we’d love to have you on board.

Key Responsibilities
Preparation & Station Setup: Assist in the daily preparation, portioning, and mise en place for all Dim Sum items (filling, rolling, shaping, and steaming/frying) according to established recipes.

Cooking & Execution: Support the Dim Sum station during service, ensuring consistent presentation, taste, and temperature control.

Kitchen Safety & Hygiene: Adhere strictly to Food Safety, HACCP guidelines, and sanitation procedures across all preparation areas and storage units.

Stock & Inventory Management: Monitor ingredient freshness, maintain proper storage practices, and notify senior chefs of stock shortages or quality issues.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Dim Sum Chef de Partie and wider kitchen brigade to ensure smooth, efficient service.

Requirements & Qualifications
Experience: Proven experience as a Commis Chef specializing in Dim Sum within a high-volume restaurant, hotel, or premium Asian dining concept.

Skills: Hands-on experience with Dim Sum preparation techniques (dumplings, buns, rolls, steam control).

Knowledge: Sound understanding of food safety, kitchen sanitation, and station organization.

Attributes: Strong team player, eager to learn, and able to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Communication: Good working knowledge of spoken English.
