Job Description

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Construction Safety Officer (HSE Officer) to join our team in Bahrain. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing health, safety, and environmental procedures across construction sites, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and maintaining a safe working environment for all employees and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

Implement and monitor Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies and procedures at construction sites.

Conduct regular site safety inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits.

Identify potential hazards and recommend appropriate preventive and corrective actions.

Ensure workers comply with safety regulations, PPE requirements, and site safety procedures.

Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and awareness training for workers.

Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with Bahrain safety regulations and company standards.

Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near misses and prepare reports.

Maintain safety documentation, inspection records, and incident reports.

Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and supervisors to resolve safety concerns.

Ensure proper implementation of emergency procedures and site safety plans.

Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.

Previous experience as a Safety Officer or HSE Officer in the construction industry.

Good knowledge of construction site safety standards, HSE procedures, and risk assessment.

Relevant HSE certifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH will be an advantage.

Strong communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and monitor multiple site activities.

Must be locally available in Bahrain.

Must be available to join immediately.
