Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and skilled Assistant Manager – Carpentry & Joinery to support and oversee carpentry and joinery operations, ensuring quality workmanship, timely project execution, and efficient workshop and site coordination.

The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge of carpentry, joinery, woodwork, furniture production, and installation, along with team supervision and project coordination experience.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Manager in overseeing daily carpentry and joinery operations.

Supervise carpenters, joiners, technicians, and workshop personnel.

Coordinate production, fabrication, assembly, and installation of wooden works.

Review technical drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and project requirements.

Ensure all carpentry and joinery works meet quality standards and project specifications.

Monitor project progress, material requirements, manpower, and work schedules.

Coordinate with project managers, engineers, site supervisors, and other departments.

Ensure proper material procurement, inventory control, and efficient resource utilization.

Conduct site inspections and resolve technical or workmanship-related issues.

Ensure compliance with workplace safety procedures and company policies.

Prepare progress reports and provide regular updates to management.

Requirements & Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Carpentry, Joinery, Wood Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in carpentry and joinery operations, preferably in the construction or fit-out industry.

Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role is required.

Strong knowledge of woodworking, furniture fabrication, custom joinery, and installation.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and shop drawings.

Experience in managing workshop operations, manpower, materials, and project timelines.

Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Knowledge of quality control and construction safety standards.

Employment Requirements

Must be currently available in Bahrain.

Must be an immediate joiner.

Relevant experience in carpentry and joinery within the construction or fit-out industry is required.
