Job Title: Financial Controller

We are seeking a highly competent and rigorous Financial Controller to lead our financial management operations. The successful candidate will ensure full compliance with the Kingdom's regulatory frameworks, bringing specialized expertise in preparing flawless financial reports for statutory audits and managing all local tax requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Audit Readiness & Delivery: Lead the preparation of end-to-end statutory financial statements and schedules in compliance with IFRS, serving as the principal liaison for external auditors.

• Bahrain Tax Compliance: Manage the comprehensive preparation and filing of Bahrain Corporate Income Tax returns (in alignment with the latest legislative frameworks) and monthly/quarterly VAT submissions via the National Bureau for Revenue (NBR).

• Financial Management: Oversee daily accounting workflows, cash flow forecasting, working capital optimization, and financial controls specific to fleet and haulage operations.

• Cost & Management Reporting: Deliver monthly management accounts with targeted analysis on transport-specific metrics, including fuel efficiencies, vehicle maintenance variances, and route profitability.

• Regulatory Liaison: Ensure strict adherence to the regulations set by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MOIC) and other local regulatory bodies.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 5–8 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a senior financial role within the transport, shipping, or logistics sector.

• Tax & Technical Expertise: Proven, hands-on experience handling filings for the National Bureau for Revenue (NBR) and managing corporate tax workflows.

• Professional Credentials: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Fully qualified CPA, ACCA, CA, or CIMA designation is mandatory.

• Systems: Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with standard ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) or localized logistics modules.
