Description

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Chef to help run our bakery operations. You will manage daily production, maintain consistent recipes, and help develop new products across our cookies, petit fours, and Arabic sweets lines, including baklava.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and control daily bakery production, making sure output, quality, and timing meet targets
- Maintain and standardize recipes, including portioning, specifications, and consistency across batches
- Plan and fulfill production orders, including retail, wholesale, corporate, and seasonal orders
- Help develop new recipes and refine existing ones, from trials and tastings through final standardization
- Supervise, train, and support bakery staff, keeping the team productive and motivated
- Monitor raw material usage and stock levels, and coordinate requisitions to reduce waste
- Make sure food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards are followed at all times
- Step in for the Head Chef when needed

Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in a bakery or pastry kitchen, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Proven expertise in cookies, petit fours, Arabic sweets, and baklava
- Strong knowledge of recipe costing, scaling, and production planning
- Food safety certification (HACCP or Level 2/3 Food Hygiene) preferred
- Able to work flexible hours during peak seasons (Ramadan, Eid, )
- Fluent in Arabic or English (working level)
