Description

A business in Bahrain is looking for an experienced full-time tailor with strong sewing and finishing skills. The work mainly involves producing children’s bedding, decorative cushions, pillows, covers and similar fabric products, including custom shapes and designs.

This is not primarily a clothing alteration position. We need someone who can accurately cut fabric, follow a shape or sample, stitch neatly, produce clean edges and finishing, and create finished textile products from a reference design.

Job Responsibilities & Requirements:
• Sew cushions, pillows, children’s bedding, covers and other fabric products.
• Cut and measure fabric accurately based on dimensions, templates or samples.
• Produce shaped/custom items, including products such as the star-shaped cushion shown in the reference image.
• Operate sewing machines confidently and independently.
• Maintain straight, consistent stitching and professional finishing.
• Insert filling, close cushions neatly and ensure the final shape is symmetrical.
• Correct mistakes and make adjustments when required.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Candidate must have previous professional tailoring/sewing experience.
• Basic working English is required so instructions, measurements and designs can be understood correctly.
• Must currently be in Bahrain.
• Must be available to attend both the interview and practical assessment.
• Reliable, clean, presentable and committed to full-time work.

Employment Details: Salary is BHD 150 per month, all-inclusive.

Interview & Practical Test
Shortlisted candidates will go through two stages of assessment:
1. Interview: Candidate must attend an interview to discuss previous experience, sewing knowledge, availability and ability to perform the required work.
2. Practical Sewing Test: Candidates must successfully produce a sample star-shaped cushion.
Passing the interview alone does not guarantee selection. Candidates must also pass the practical sewing test.
