A well-established and reputed construction company in the Kingdom of Bahrain is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Contract Manager to lead its Commercial & Contracts function.

This is a senior-level opportunity for a professional with a strong track record in contract administration, commercial management, claims, variations, cost control and project profitability.

BD 2,500 – 3,000+ per month
Negotiable based on experience, qualifications and suitability

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Lead and manage the Commercial & Contracts Department
• Oversee tendering, estimation and commercial evaluation
• Administer and negotiate main contracts and subcontracts
• Manage claims, variations, extensions of time and commercial entitlements
• Lead quantity surveying, valuations and payment certification
• Monitor project costs, margins, cash flow and overall profitability
• Identify and manage commercial risks and contractual exposures
• Lead contractual negotiations with clients, consultants and subcontractors
• Prepare commercial reports, forecasts and management recommendations
• Establish effective commercial controls and procedures
• Lead, mentor and develop Estimators and Quantity Surveyors

IDEAL CANDIDATE

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline
• Proven senior-level experience as a Contract Manager / Commercial Manager within the construction or infrastructure sector
• Strong practical knowledge of FIDIC, contract administration, claims, variations and commercial management
• Demonstrated ability to improve project margins and commercial performance
• Strong negotiation, analytical, problem-solving and leadership capabilities
• Experience managing commercial teams and multiple projects
• Bahrain / GCC construction experience is highly preferred
• Good understanding of the Bahrain construction market and contractual environment will be an advantage
