Description

Read and understand AutoCAD drawings, shop drawings and technical drawings.
Take measurements and quantities from drawings.
Prepare accurate material take-offs (MTO).
Calculate material, labour, fabrication and installation costs.
Prepare professional quotations for customers.
Understand different fabrication works such as:
Aluminium works
Stainless steel works
Mild steel works
Gates, doors and railings
Handrails and balustrades
CNC cutting
Laser cutting
Structural steel
Canopies and shades
Metal furniture
Shopfronts and interior works
Coordinate with the workshop to understand production requirements and costs.
Contact suppliers to obtain material prices when required.
Follow up on inquiries and quotations.
Help convert inquiries into confirmed orders.
Understand the project scope and identify missing information before quoting.
Prepare quotations with clear descriptions, quantities, unit rates and total prices.
Coordinate with the customer, workshop and site team from inquiry to completion.
Required Skills:
Good knowledge of fabrication and construction works.
Strong ability to read and understand technical drawings.
AutoCAD knowledge is required.
Good knowledge of Excel and quotation preparation.
Experience in estimating quantities and material requirements.
Ability to calculate labour and fabrication costs.
Good communication and negotiation skills.
Experience in Bahrain/GCC fabrication projects is preferred.
Must be able to work independently and take responsibility for quotations.
