About the Role
We are seeking a highly resourceful, proactive, and technically adept Project Coordinator to serve as the definitive focal point for our ongoing and upcoming Oil & Gas projects in the Middle East based in Bahrain. In this high-impact role, you will bridge the gap between commercial sales, engineering technicalities, and complex supply chain logistics.
Operating under minimum supervision, you will have the autonomy to drive project timelines, troubleshoot multi-disciplinary bottlenecks, and manage client and vendor relationships directly. The ideal candidate possesses a robust background in the GCC energy sector and thrives in an independent, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
🎯 Project Focal Point & Leadership
• Act as the primary, centralized point of contact (Focal Point) for clients, internal engineering departments, sales executives, and third-party vendors.
• Manage day-to-day project milestones autonomously, identifying risks before they impact the schedule and implementing corrective actions with minimal managerial oversight.
• Organize and lead project kickoff meetings, progress reviews, and technical alignments.
⚙️ Engineering Support & Technical Coordination
• Facilitate communication between the engineering team and clients to clarify technical specifications, data sheets, and project variations.
• Coordinate the review, approval, and distribution of engineering deliverables, blueprints, and Material Test Reports (MTRs).
• Assist in preparing technical tender documentation, compliance statements, and estimation metrics.
📦 Sales & Commercial Operations
• Support the sales and business development units by ensuring that client purchase orders (POs) align perfectly with engineering scopes and pricing templates.
• Track project costing, variations, and milestones to initiate accurate, timely client invoicing.
• Maintain comprehensive records of customer correspondence, RFQs, and ongoing project modifications.
🚚 Logistics & Supply Chain Management
• Oversee end-to-end logistics operations, ensuring that specialized oilfield equipment and materials clear Bahraini customs and arrive at the site seamlessly.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, clearing agents, and warehouse teams to optimize delivery routes and manage inventory schedules.
• Ensure all shipping documentation (Bills of Lading, Certificates of Origin, commercial invoices) complies with local Bahrain regulatory standards and international maritime customs laws.
Required Qualifications & Skills
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or a highly related STEM field. A certified qualification in project management (PMP/CAPM) is highly advantageous.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of direct experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical sectors within the GCC (specific experience in Bahrain is strongly preferred).
• Domain Knowledge: Proven track record handling technical engineering files, sales /contracts, and industrial logistics concurrently.
• Autonomy: Demonstrated ability to manage multi-tiered projects under pressure with minimal or zero direct day-to-day supervision.
• Software Competency: Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills; fluency in Arabic is an asset given the need to coordinate with local regulatory bodies.
