Description

Experience & Qualifications:

-Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
-Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience
-Professional certification (ACCA, CMA, CPA, or equivalent) is a plus
-Prior experience in a trading, distribution, or similar commercial company preferred

Technical & Financial Skills:

-Strong knowledge of accounting principles and IFRS
-Proficient in preparing financial statements, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing
-Experience with VAT compliance and filing (Bahrain NBR requirements)
-Skilled in accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and cash flow management
-Proficient with an accounting/ERP system (Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar)
-Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, basic financial modeling)

Personal Attributes:

-High attention to detail and accuracy
-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
-Able to work independently and meet deadlines, particularly around closing periods
-Good communication skills for liaising with auditors, banks, and management
-Trustworthy and comfortable handling confidential financial information

Additional Requirements:

-Familiarity with Bahrain labor law and WPS payroll requirements is a plus
-Experience liaising with external auditors and government/regulatory bodies
