Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Construction Planning & Controls Engineer to join our construction team in Bahrain. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules, monitoring construction progress, identifying delays and risks, and providing effective project controls to ensure projects are completed within approved timelines and budgets.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in construction planning, Primavera P6, progress monitoring, critical path analysis, recovery schedules, and project reporting, preferably with experience in building, villa, commercial, or high-rise projects.

Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and update detailed construction schedules using Primavera P6.
Prepare baseline programs, master schedules, WBS, milestones, look-ahead schedules, and recovery programs.
Monitor actual site progress against approved project schedules.
Collect progress updates from project/site teams and update schedules accordingly.
Analyze planned vs. actual progress and identify delays, risks, and potential project slippage.
Perform Critical Path Method (CPM) analysis and monitor critical activities, float, and project milestones.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for management and clients.
Monitor construction sequencing, productivity, procurement activities, and subcontractor progress.
Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, QS, Procurement, MEP teams, subcontractors, consultants, and other stakeholders.
Identify schedule risks and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
Prepare recovery schedules and revised programs when projects fall behind schedule.
Assist with delay analysis, Extension of Time (EOT), and claims-related planning documentation.
Track key project deliverables, resources, manpower, materials, and procurement lead times.
Maintain accurate planning records, progress data, schedule updates, and project-control documentation.
Ensure construction activities are properly sequenced and aligned with contractual milestones.
Support management with planning, forecasting, productivity, and project performance analysis.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
Minimum 3–7 years of experience in construction planning and project controls.
Strong experience in building, villa, commercial, residential, or high-rise construction projects.
Excellent knowledge of Primavera P6 is required.
Knowledge of MS Project and advanced MS Excel is an advantage.
Strong understanding of WBS, CPM, baseline schedules, critical path, float, and construction sequencing.
Experience in progress measurement, schedule updating, recovery planning, and delay analysis.
Knowledge of EVM, S-curves, productivity monitoring, and project performance tracking is an advantage.
Familiarity with FIDIC contracts, EOT, and claims-related planning support is preferred.
Ability to read and understand architectural, structural, and MEP drawings, BOQs, specifications, and project requirements.
Strong analytical, organizational, communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict project deadlines.
GCC construction experience is preferred.
Bahrain construction experience is highly preferred.
Must be currently available in Bahrain.
Immediate joiners or candidates available on short notice are preferred.
Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a hands-on Construction Planning & Controls Engineer with practical site experience rather than someone limited to administrative planning. The candidate should be confident in Primavera P6, construction scheduling, progress tracking, critical path analysis, recovery planning, and coordination with site teams.
