Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Construction Planning Engineer to join our team in Bahrain. The successful candidate will be responsible for project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, reporting, and coordination with project and site teams to ensure construction projects are completed within the approved timelines.

Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and update detailed construction schedules using Primavera P6.
Prepare baseline programs, master schedules, WBS, milestones, and look-ahead schedules.
Monitor actual site progress against approved project schedules.
Collect progress updates from site teams and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
Identify delays, critical activities, schedule risks, and potential project slippage.
Conduct critical path analysis and planned-versus-actual progress analysis.
Prepare recovery programs and recommend corrective actions for delayed activities.
Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, QS, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers.
Track manpower, materials, equipment, procurement, and subcontractor progress against project requirements.
Prepare S-curves, progress tracking reports, and resource monitoring reports.
Assist with delay analysis, Extension of Time (EOT) submissions, and claims-related documentation.
Attend project progress meetings and provide planning and scheduling updates.
Maintain accurate records of project schedules, progress updates, revisions, and planning documentation.
Ensure construction activities are properly sequenced and aligned with project milestones.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Planning Engineer in the construction industry.
Strong experience in building, civil, commercial, or residential construction projects.
Excellent practical knowledge of Primavera P6.
Knowledge of MS Project is an advantage.
Strong understanding of WBS, CPM, baseline schedules, critical path, float, and construction sequencing.
Experience in progress monitoring, schedule updating, recovery planning, and delay analysis.
Ability to read and understand construction drawings, BOQs, specifications, and project requirements.
Strong knowledge of construction activities and site execution processes.
Proficiency in MS Excel and Microsoft Office.
GCC construction experience is preferred; Bahrain experience is highly preferred.
Strong analytical, communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict project deadlines.
Must be currently available in Bahrain.
Immediate joiners are strongly preferred.
Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a hands-on Construction Planning Engineer with practical site experience rather than someone limited to administrative planning. The ideal candidate should be confident in Primavera P6, construction scheduling, progress tracking, critical path analysis, recovery planning, and coordination with site teams.
