Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Quantity Surveying Engineer to join our construction team in Bahrain. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in quantity surveying, cost estimation, BOQ preparation, tendering, cost control, valuations, variations, and commercial management.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare accurate quantity take-offs, BOQs, cost estimates, and cost plans.
Review architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings and specifications.
Conduct site measurements and verify completed quantities.
Prepare and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
Monitor project costs, budgets, material quantities, and wastage.
Prepare interim valuations, payment applications, and progress claims.
Evaluate variations, change orders, additional works, and site instructions.
Assist with tender preparation, procurement, and commercial evaluations.
Monitor project expenditure and identify potential cost overruns.
Prepare monthly cost reports, forecasts, and commercial documentation.
Assist with final accounts, claims, and contract administration.
Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Procurement Teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.
Maintain proper records of measurements, costs, variations, contracts, and project documentation.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
3–7 years of relevant experience in Quantity Surveying within the construction industry.
Strong background in civil/building construction projects.
Good knowledge of BOQs, quantity take-offs, estimation, costing, valuations, variations, and final accounts.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Good knowledge of construction materials, labour rates, and subcontractor pricing.
Knowledge of construction contracts and commercial procedures; FIDIC knowledge is an advantage.
Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and quantity surveying/estimation software.
Strong analytical, numerical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Bahrain/GCC construction experience is highly preferred.
Must be currently available in Bahrain.
Immediate joiner is highly preferred.
Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in villa, residential, commercial, high-rise, fit-out, or general building construction projects will be highly considered.
