Job Summary

ERA Projects is looking for an experienced Construction Planning Engineer with a strong background in building and construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, reporting, and coordination with project and site teams to ensure projects are completed within the approved timelines.

Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and update detailed construction schedules using Primavera P6.
Prepare baseline programs, master schedules, WBS, milestones, and look-ahead schedules.
Monitor actual site progress against approved project schedules.
Collect progress updates from site teams and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
Identify delays, schedule risks, critical activities, and potential project slippage.
Conduct critical path analysis and planned-versus-actual progress analysis.
Prepare recovery programs and recommend corrective actions for delayed activities.
Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, QS, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers.
Monitor manpower, materials, equipment, procurement schedules, and subcontractor progress.
Prepare S-curves, progress tracking reports, manpower/resource reports, and planning dashboards.
Assist with EOT submissions, delay analysis, and claims-related documentation.
Attend progress meetings and provide planning and scheduling updates.
Maintain accurate records of project schedules, progress updates, revisions, and planning documentation.
Ensure construction activities are properly sequenced and aligned with project milestones.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
3–5+ years of experience as a Planning Engineer in the construction industry.
Strong experience in building/civil construction projects.
GCC construction experience is required; Bahrain experience is highly preferred.
Strong practical knowledge of Primavera P6; MS Project is an advantage.
Good understanding of WBS, CPM, baseline programs, construction sequencing, and project controls.
Experience in progress monitoring, recovery schedules, and delay analysis.
Ability to read and understand construction drawings, BOQs, and project specifications.
Strong Microsoft Excel and MS Office skills.
Excellent communication, coordination, analytical, and reporting skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict project deadlines.
Must be currently available in Bahrain.
Immediate joiners are strongly preferred.
Candidates with cancelled/transferable visa or valid local status are preferred.
Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a hands-on Construction Planning Engineer with practical site experience rather than purely administrative planning experience. The candidate should be confident in Primavera P6, construction scheduling, progress tracking, critical path analysis, recovery planning, and coordination with site teams.
