Job Summary

We are looking for a Junior Accounts Officer to support our finance and accounting operations within the construction industry. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of accounting principles, strong attention to detail, and preferably hands-on experience in a construction or contracting company.

Key Responsibilities
Handle daily accounting entries and maintain accurate financial records.
Prepare and process invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and other accounting documents.
Assist with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
Monitor supplier and customer balances and follow up on outstanding payments.
Perform bank, supplier, customer, and account reconciliations.
Record and monitor project-related expenses and costs.
Process supplier invoices, purchase orders, delivery notes, and payment documentation.
Maintain petty cash records and monitor company expenses.
Assist with monthly and year-end closing activities.
Prepare financial reports, schedules, and supporting documents.
Assist with Bahrain VAT records and related documentation.
Maintain proper filing of accounting and project-related documents.
Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, clients, and internal departments regarding accounts matters.
Support the Senior Accountant / Finance Manager with daily accounting and administrative tasks.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
1–3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in construction or contracting.
Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping.
Experience with AP, AR, invoicing, reconciliations, petty cash, and expense tracking.
Construction/project accounting experience is an advantage.
Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software/ERP systems such as Tally, QuickBooks, or similar.
Knowledge of Bahrain VAT is an advantage.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
Good English communication skills.
Must be currently locally available in Bahrain.
Immediate joiner or available on short notice is highly preferred.
Transferable or cancelled visa is an advantage.
Preferred Candidate

Candidates with Bahrain/GCC construction or contracting experience and the ability to join immediately will be given preference.
