Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced MEP Project Engineer to manage and coordinate MEP works for high-rise buildings, large villa projects, commercial, and residential construction projects. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on construction experience and good knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection systems.

The role will be responsible for coordinating MEP activities from planning and installation through testing, commissioning, and handover. Similar Bahrain construction postings emphasize site execution, drawing review, subcontractor coordination, and testing/commissioning experience.

Key Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and manage MEP construction activities from start to completion.
Oversee the installation of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection systems.
Review and interpret MEP drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
Coordinate MEP works with civil, structural, architectural, and finishing teams.
Supervise and coordinate MEP subcontractors, engineers, technicians, and site teams.
Monitor project progress, manpower, materials, productivity, and installation quality.
Conduct regular site inspections and resolve technical and coordination issues.
Review material submittals, method statements, RFIs, inspection requests, and technical submissions.
Ensure all MEP works comply with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and applicable Bahrain regulations.
Coordinate testing, commissioning, snagging, rectification, and final handover of MEP systems.
Coordinate with consultants, clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and project management.
Monitor MEP schedules and ensure works are completed according to project milestones.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MEP progress reports.
Attend project and technical coordination meetings and provide engineering solutions to site issues.
Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and safe construction practices.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, MEP Engineering, or a related field.
3–7 years of relevant MEP construction experience.
Strong experience in building construction projects.
Experience with high-rise buildings, large villas, commercial, or residential projects is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of MEP installation, coordination, testing, and commissioning.
Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
Experience managing MEP subcontractors and site teams.
Strong project coordination, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of Bahrain/GCC construction standards and requirements is an advantage.
Knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Office, and/or BIM/Revit is an advantage.
Must be currently available in Bahrain.
Immediate joiner is highly preferred.
Candidates with Bahrain construction experience will be given priority.
