Job Summary
We are looking for a Junior Accounts Officer to support our finance and accounting operations. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of basic accounting principles, strong attention to detail, and the ability to maintain accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities
Handle daily accounting entries and maintain accurate financial records.
Prepare and process invoices, receipts, payments, and other accounting documents.
Assist with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
Perform bank and account reconciliations.
Maintain petty cash records and track company expenses.
Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and supporting documents.
Assist with monthly and year-end closing activities.
Maintain proper filing of financial and accounting documents.
Assist with VAT-related documentation and compliance requirements.
Coordinate with suppliers, clients, and internal departments regarding accounts-related matters.
Support the senior accountant/finance team with daily accounting activities.
Identify and report discrepancies or errors in financial records.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
1–2 years of experience in accounting or a similar role is preferred.
Good knowledge of basic accounting principles and procedures.
Experience with AP, AR, invoicing, and bank reconciliation.
Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software/ERP systems.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good organizational and communication skills.
Previous Bahrain experience is an advantage.
Locally available in Bahrain.
Immediate joiner or available on short notice is preferred.
