Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Construction Planning Engineer to manage project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and reporting for construction projects. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of construction activities and previous experience or good knowledge of the construction industry in Bahrain.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain detailed construction project schedules.
Prepare baseline programs, work schedules, look-ahead programs, and recovery plans.
Monitor actual project progress against approved schedules and identify delays.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, site teams, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers.
Track project activities, milestones, resources, and critical path.
Collect and verify progress updates from site teams.
Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, S-curves, and other project planning reports.
Identify potential delays, risks, and constraints and recommend corrective actions.
Review subcontractors' programs and monitor their progress against agreed schedules.
Coordinate construction activities with procurement, engineering, and site operations.
Attend progress and coordination meetings and provide updates on project status.
Assist in preparing delay analysis and Extension of Time (EOT) claims when required.
Maintain accurate records of schedules, progress updates, reports, and project documentation.
Ensure project activities are properly sequenced to achieve planned completion dates.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in construction planning and project scheduling.
Previous Bahrain construction experience is highly preferred.
Good knowledge of Bahrain construction practices, project requirements, and local working environment.
Strong knowledge of construction activities, sequencing, resource planning, and project controls.
Proficiency in Primavera P6 is required.
Good knowledge of MS Excel and preferably MS Project.
Experience preparing baseline schedules, progress updates, S-curves, manpower histograms, and project reports.
Knowledge of delay analysis, critical path analysis, and recovery planning.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with contractors, consultants, and project teams.
Must be currently available in Bahrain.

Preferred Candidate

Have previous experience with construction projects in Bahrain.
Have good knowledge of the Bahrain construction market and local project practices.
Have experience coordinating with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Have strong experience in Primavera P6 and construction scheduling.
Can join immediately or within a short notice period.
