Description

We are looking for a reliable, trustworthy, and well-organized House Assistant to support the smooth day-to-day running of a private household. The role includes housekeeping, basic cooking, childcare, errands, and general support for the family.

Key Responsibilities

Housekeeping

Keep the house clean, tidy, organized, and well maintained.
Clean bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, living areas, and other household spaces.
Handle laundry, ironing, folding, and organizing clothes.
Maintain household supplies and inform the employer when items need replenishing.
Receive deliveries and help unpack and organize purchases.

Basic Cooking

Prepare simple, healthy, and family-friendly meals.
Prepare breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, and refreshments as required.
Assist with meal preparation, chopping, cooking, and kitchen organization.
Keep the kitchen clean and tidy after meal preparation.
Follow family preferences and any dietary requirements.

Childcare

Supervise and care for the children in a safe, attentive, and responsible manner.
Prepare simple meals and snacks for the children.
Assist children with bathing, dressing, and general daily routines when required.
Help with school preparation, homework, reading, and age-appropriate activities.
Accompany children to and from school, activities, appointments, or outings when required.
Keep children's rooms, clothing, toys, and belongings organized.
Ensure children's safety and provide attentive, caring supervision.
Communicate with parents regarding the children's daily routines, needs, and activities.

Errands & General Support

Assist with grocery shopping and household errands.
Support guests and family members with household needs when required.
Perform other reasonable household duties as requested.

Requirements

Previous experience in housekeeping, domestic service, childcare, hospitality, or a similar role is preferred.
Experience caring for children is strongly preferred.
Basic cooking skills and the ability to prepare simple family meals.
Honest, trustworthy, responsible, and discreet.
Patient and caring with children.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
Able to work independently and follow instructions.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Physically fit and able to perform household and childcare duties.
