Job Description

ERA Projects is looking for a Junior Admin Purchaser – Construction to support daily purchasing, procurement coordination, and administrative activities for construction projects.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with construction-related purchasing, good knowledge of construction materials, and strong administrative and coordination skills. Similar Bahrain postings emphasize purchase requests, POs, supplier quotations, delivery follow-up, records, and coordination with project/store/accounts teams.

Key Responsibilities
Process purchase requests and purchase orders (POs) for construction materials, tools, equipment, and site requirements.
Request quotations from local suppliers and prepare quotation comparison sheets.
Assist in sourcing and evaluating suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery.
Follow up with suppliers regarding orders, deliveries, and pending materials.
Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, stores, and accounts regarding purchasing requirements.
Maintain accurate records of POs, quotations, invoices, delivery notes, and supplier information.
Track material requirements and ensure timely procurement according to project schedules.
Assist in monitoring material availability and shortages.
Prepare procurement reports, spreadsheets, and administrative documents.
Maintain organized physical and electronic filing systems.
Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, availability, delivery dates, and order status.
Support general administrative activities related to procurement and construction projects.
Ensure purchasing documentation follows company procedures and approval requirements.
Requirements
2–3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or administration.
Construction industry experience is strongly preferred.
Good knowledge of construction materials, tools, equipment, and site requirements.
Experience dealing with suppliers and obtaining quotations.
Familiarity with Purchase Orders, Purchase Requests, Comparative Statements, and delivery documentation.
Good knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and Word.
Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
Good English communication skills; Arabic is an advantage.
Ability to coordinate effectively with suppliers, site teams, stores, and accounts.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple purchasing requirements.
Must be currently located in Bahrain.
Must be available for immediate joining.
Candidates with cancelled/transferable visa or valid local status are preferred.
Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a junior-level candidate with genuine construction purchasing experience, rather than someone with only general office administration experience.

The candidate should understand construction materials, be comfortable communicating with suppliers, and be capable of handling quotations, purchase orders, delivery follow-ups, documentation, and site procurement requirements.
