Job Title: Finance Controller

Location: Salmabad, Bahrain

Reports to: Managing Director

Role Summary
The Finance Controller will oversee all financial operations for both interior fit-out projects and event/exhibition activities. The role ensures accurate costing, budgeting, cash flow management, and compliance while supporting project managers to keep projects profitable.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Finance - Interior Fit-OutPrepare project budgets, cost estimates, and cashflow forecasts for fit-out tendersTrack job costing: materials, labor, subcontractors, variations, and claimsReview WIP reports, project profitability, and cost-to-complete for each siteApprove site purchase orders and ensure procurement follows budgetHandle progress billing, retention, and client/subcontractor payments
2. Event & Exhibition FinanceCreate event budgets and costing sheets per client briefMonitor rental income, booth sales, sponsorships, and vendor costsManage tight timelines for deposits, final payments, and on-site cash handlingReconcile event P&L within 7 days of event completionControl inventory of rental items, graphics, and assets
3. Core Finance & ComplianceFull-cycle accounting: AR, AP, payroll, bank reconciliation, VATPrepare monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and board reportsManage cash flow and working capital for multiple ongoing projects/eventsEnsure compliance with Bahrain VAT, LMRA, GOSI, and company policiesLiaise with auditors and banks. Handle credit facilities and LCs/BGs if neededImplement and improve ERP/accounting systems and internal controlsRequired.

QualificationsEducation:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. ACCA/CPA preferred.
Experience: 5+ years as Finance Controller/Manager, with 2+ years in construction, interior fit-out, or event/exhibition industry
Knowledge: Project accounting, job costing, VAT Bahrain, contract management
Systems: Advanced Excel. Experience with ERP like SAP, Oracle, Tally, or Xero
Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, ability to work under tight event deadlines
Languages: English required. Arabic is a plus.
