Description

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Kitchen Designer / Project Coordinator to join our hospitality consultancy team in Bahrain.

The candidate will be involved in commercial kitchen planning, technical drawings, equipment selection, MEP coordination and project follow-up for restaurants, cafés, hotels, central kitchens and other food-service projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand the client’s concept, menu and operational requirements.
• Prepare commercial kitchen layouts with proper zoning, workflow and equipment positioning.
• Produce AutoCAD drawings, including equipment layouts and MEP coordination drawings for electrical, plumbing, drainage, gas and ventilation requirements.
• Prepare equipment schedules, specifications, BOQs and project documentation.
• Assist with equipment selection and coordinate with kitchen-equipment suppliers.
• Review architectural and MEP drawings and identify coordination issues.
• Conduct site visits, take measurements and verify existing site conditions.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers and installation teams.
• Update drawings based on site conditions, client comments and technical requirements.
• Support project execution, snagging, installation follow-up and final handover.

Candidate Requirements

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design or a related field.
• Previous experience in commercial kitchen design, food-service equipment, hospitality projects, MEP drafting or a similar technical role is preferred.
• Good AutoCAD skills are mandatory.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and preparation of equipment schedules or BOQs.
• Basic understanding of commercial kitchen equipment and restaurant operations.
• Ability to read architectural and MEP drawings.
• Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage several projects and meet deadlines.
• Candidates currently residing in Bahrain will be given preference.

Knowledge of SketchUp, 3ds Max, Photoshop or other presentation software will be an advantage.

Experience: 3-6 years
